Trying to get a good picture of the boys together is sometimes an impossibility! This is why in most pictures of them both together, they are slightly looking up…..towards a treat I am tying to hold, alongside my phone, whilst taking the photo!
I seem to talk about the weather on a fairly regular basis! Usually because it’s not been great! Yesterday was no exception. Thankfully the rain had stopped but the wind…….well there was definitely one little pooch who was not impressed with it! His Dumbo impression is just priceless!
Let’s hope for less wind, less rain and some nice bright dry days soon 😀
The weather has been foggy and damp or foggy and wet, or just wet recently. Please can we have one day when my boys don’t come back from a walk covered in mud from head to tail!
I’m going through more towels than I actually have set aside for the boys….which means I’m now resorting to using our best bath towels….great! It doesn’t help that they’re cream!!)
We decided at the last minute to make a little bit of effort for Halloween! Now the children are all living away, it seems a little silly carving pumpkins….but hey ho, we found a tiny one we’d dug up from the allotment, carved a small face and put it on display on the windowsill! (Along with a few candles!)
We got one trick or treater…..the young boy from next door, who very politely helped himself to a couple of tiny packets of sweets. I even asked him if he’d like to take some for his sister but after some deliberation he said NO thank you!!!
Dexter enjoyed eating the lid from the pumpkin (which I’d removed as soon as it started cooking!)
Today we had a walk down to the river at lunch time. It was a proper Autumnal day, trees looking gloriously colourful and a few leaves blowing down to the ground. It was even warm enough to sit on my coat and eat my sandwich!
I thought at this point it might be a good photo opportunity, as the boys were glued to the spot, ever hopeful of a bit of ham and cheese!
They sat beautifully and who could refuse two faces like that! My sandwich was shared three ways!
The boys then had a mad five minutes (well Archie at first, who enticed Dexter to join in soon after!).
It turned out to be a beautiful day in Ripon today, glorious sunshine, blue skies and lovely and mild. With this in mind, we decided to have a trip down to our allotment and dig up some potatoes!
Archie and Dexter were certainly in their element. It was almost (but definitely not quite) as good as being at the beach! Lots and lots of digging opportunities!
We all dug and dug and dug! Thankfully I was rather cleaner at the end than the boys, who certainly didn’t look quite like they did at the start of the morning. (I just hope my friend Kath who had clipped and bathed them yesterday – doesn’t see this!)
Still, we achieved our goal and took home about 15kg of potatoes! That’s chips, mash, roast and jackets sorted, until this time next year! I only know the weight, as I reckon the box felt the same to lift as a sack of dog food!
We have had another Christmas delivery! Some more jumpers and some very cute snoods! Yes, snoods for dogs!!
Of course we had to have another try on and a few pictures! For Archie and Dexter, it’s just another day at work! (They have to earn their gravy ones somehow!)
When we first heard about the snoods, we weren’t sure how many to order! A new product is always a gamble….would people like them…..more importantly, would people buy them! We eventually decided to order a dozen. I’ve bought 2 so at least 17% of the stock has sold!!
Archie was being so helpful demonstrating the winter clothing range! Here he is wearing one of the new Christmas jumpers. These are from Rosewood Pet Products..
If anybody is interested in either the snoods or the jumpers, please don’t hesitate to contact us 😀
