Finally, the sun made an appearance yesterday and blue skies appeared. What a difference. Everyone seemed so cheerful, everywhere looked quite beautiful and there was a glimmer of hope that Spring was round the corner!
We all had a lovely walk down by the river at lunchtime, then strolled round our beautiful little city, admiring some of the lovely features we have – taking a few pictures with the glorious blue backdrop!
Market day in Ripon was especially lovely yesterday…
The Victoria Clock Tower looked superb, as we walked down North Road in Ripon towards the River Ure.
Our lunchtime walk wouldn’t be complete without a paddle in the River!
Finally a picture of our iconic Cathedral, making Ripon one of the smallest cities in England. Well worth a visit sometime.
I seem to talk about the weather on a fairly regular basis! Usually because it’s not been great! Yesterday was no exception. Thankfully the rain had stopped but the wind…….well there was definitely one little pooch who was not impressed with it! His Dumbo impression is just priceless!
Let’s hope for less wind, less rain and some nice bright dry days soon 😀
I have said before, I love Autumn. The colours are simply spectacular.
Our lunchtime walks each day this week, have been down by the River Ure in Ripon. Each day the colours seemed to get better and better, and we managed to take some fairly lovely pictures!
Archie and Dexter love running through piles of leaves. It reminds me of my children who liked nothing better than picking up great handfuls and throwing them into the air! Hopefully before some dog had kindly cocked his leg on them!
Treats are always useful when trying to get Archie to sit still for a photo!
I’m making the most of photo opportunities at the moment, it doesn’t look quite as nice in the foggy dull weather we’ve also had lately!
No trip down to the river would be complete without a jolly good paddle!
