It was to be our lucky day, both mum and papa had managed a day off together! Not only that, they decided to take us on a road trip to our favourite place – the seaside.

We went to Marske Beach in Yorkshire, very dog friendly and very quiet, which was just perfect for us.

There was plenty of time and space to play ball and chase each other around like little puppies. Even Dexter ran and ran and ran. Probably as much in the first hour as he’d done in the whole of the week before!

The weather was great, sunny and mild, so even the humans were happy!

We enjoyed plenty of digging and excavating in the sand – it was wonderful.

Of course the humans insisted we sat and posed for pictures from time to time. Why do they always insist on taking so many photos? Occasionally however, we do get a small treat if we’ve sat nicely and looked at the camera!

We had a wonderful day, which finished off with sometime we’d not tried before – a delicious Iced Treat for dogs by Billy + Margot. This was utterly amazing and mum said she might just start stocking this in the shop next year – we are keeping our paws crossed!
