It turned out to be a beautiful day in Ripon today, glorious sunshine, blue skies and lovely and mild. With this in mind, we decided to have a trip down to our allotment and dig up some potatoes!

Archie and Dexter were certainly in their element. It was almost (but definitely not quite) as good as being at the beach! Lots and lots of digging opportunities!

We all dug and dug and dug! Thankfully I was rather cleaner at the end than the boys, who certainly didn’t look quite like they did at the start of the morning. (I just hope my friend Kath who had clipped and bathed them yesterday – doesn’t see this!)

 

No gold found, only potatoes!

 
Still, we achieved our goal and took home about 15kg of potatoes! That’s chips, mash, roast and jackets sorted,until this time next year! I only know the weight, as I reckon the box felt the same to lift as a sack of dog food!
