Living right in the middle of the country, right in the middle of the countryside, means a visit to the seaside is always a very exciting and welcome change. Don’t get me wrong, we are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world but sometimes you just yearn for the salty air and bracing sea breeze which only the seaside can provide!

 

 
Archie and Dexter love the freedom of vast stretches of sandy beaches. They dip in and out of the sea….running away from the scary waves, then back in as the waves retreat.

 

 
The best part for the dogs is their digging opportunity. Nowhere else can offer somewhere they can dig so easily, without being scolded for digging up newly planted seedlings in the garden!

 

  

 
One of our favourite beaches is Marske at Redcar. This is very dog friendly all year round – perfect for letting your four legged friend(s) run and run and run! We take plenty of balls, towels and snacks, as well as a plentiful supply of water. After a long period of time running around exploring and accidentally sampling the sea water, they boys are usually rather thirsty!
