Both my spaniels are playful, but in very different ways.

Archie likes nothing better than to chase and retrieve ball, after ball, after ball. He runs thinking he’s a greyhound, in order to get to the ball before Dexter.

Archie’s determination to ‘win’ makes me smile so much. If he only knew there was actually no need – Dexter is not at all interested in running after a ball (in fact most of the time he’s not really interested in running at all!) Dexter just gives me one of those looks, which says ‘why on earth does that silly woman keep throwing the ball away – doh!’
